    Job Title*: Project - Operations Manager
    Job Description: Walnut Creek, CA. Company is looking for an experienced project manager to oversee data acquisition and production activities as well as product deliveries to customers. You will be responsible for overseeing the timely mobilization of camera systems and the drivers needed to collect customer project throughout the US. You'll manage the processing of collected data and implementation support of finished products to customers. Your experience in the GIS, surveying, and GPS data processing is key. Familiarity with web hosting environments and developer APIs is very helpful. Your people skills are needed to manage relationships both inside and outside the company. You are the link between our customers and the internal organization. The Project / Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Strong project management skills using leading PM software
    • Mobile mapping and GPS data processing expertise
    • Competence using Esri ArcGIS and MS Office family of products
    • Weekly internal project reporting and regular customer communications
    • Recruitment and management of temporary drivers
    • At least 3 years of relevant project management experience
    • Background in IT technology, preferably in GIS, mapping, and geo web services
    • Gather pre-order customer requirements and record post delivery satisfaction
    • Ability to work independently, while engaging with the international operations team
    • Willingness to travel (up to 35%)

    Job Title    Teaching at San Jose State: GIS Overview - Urban Planning Applications
    Job Description    For the Spring 2015 semester, classes meet from January 22 to May 21.

    GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS OVERVIEW: URBAN PLANNING APPLICATIONS (URBP 275G)

    This is a 1-unit, graduate course that provides a broad overview of key principles of GIS and will allow students to begin developing an appreciation for the technology and its application to urban planning. Because it is a 1-unit course, the class will meet only 5 weeks out of the semester.

    The course will be offered in Spring 2015 on Tuesdays from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The ideal candidates will have:

    1. A master’s degree in urban planning or a closely related field (required).

    2. Substantial professional and/or academic experience related to the course subject matter.

    3. A strong record of teaching experience.

    The Department of Urban and Regional Planning offers graduate study leading to the degree of Master of Urban Planning. This program, accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board, is designed to prepare skilled professionals who are well grounded in the theories, methods, and techniques of planning in local, regional, and state government for the purpose of improving the quality of urban regions. In addition, it provides students with an opportunity for developing a significant background in a particular area of specialization.
